The African-American community would converge here and take part in social activities such as anniversary celebrations, balls, and jazz concerts that would bring the house down. Sadly the activity dwindled down during the Depression and it wasn't until the year 2000 that Dew Drop Dance Hall saw the lively bustle of Jazz music when a four hour recording session was taken part of by roughly 100 European jazz lovers and musicians.
